RE: My Shoulder Pads are Totally Awesome

 So after two months filled with Gilmore Girls reruns, elaborate dinners for Flavio and long walks with my pup, I've decided to re-enter the work force.


Specifically, for the next 4 to 6 weeks, I will be working as a freelance editorial associate, helping a local immigration practitioner edit an immigration hornbook.  Basically, in my effort to emulate the TV characters of Minneapolis icon, Mary Tyler Moore, I've gone from this:

To this...sans gruff but kind hearted boss....and gig as a producer of the local news....and kicky beret.....whatever, you know what I mean ......





Overall, I'm quite happy to have rejoined the world of the working.  Mary Richards is way cooler than Laura Petrie.  And, to be honest, I made kind of a crap 50's housewife - I don't particularly like to clean and the last time I looked good in cigarette pants, I was 19.  Hmm, maybe I will get that beret "after ahh-allll."
